No, Trump Did Not Ban Muslims from the U.S.

EX extreme vetting

  • Despite what you may have read, President Donald Trump has not banned Muslims from entering the United States. He has paused immigration from seven countries where terrorism is rampant pending an in-depth probe by U.S. law enforcement to ensure the safety of all Americans, not just refugees from wars instigated under past presidents.

Last Friday, President Donald Trump signed what has proved to be an extremely controversial executive order that temporarily bans visas and entry to the United States for individuals from seven predominately Muslim countries that are vulnerable to terrorism. The countries, which include Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, had previously been identified by the Obama administration as countries whose citizens deserved closer scrutiny and a stronger vetting process before being granted a visa and entry into the United States.

The hostile mass media and leftist agitators were quick to denounce Trump’s rational and commonsense executive order as a blanket “Muslim ban,” stirring up echoes of racism, and oppression. Protests were organized across the country at numerous major airports, while political leaders of both parties as well as some government bureaucrats and officials voiced their opposition and attempted to set up roadblocks to implementing and complying with Trump’s executive order.

Just yesterday, Trump fired Sally Yates, the former acting attorney general who had been appointed by former President Obama and was set to serve as attorney general until Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), Trump’s pick to head the Justice Department, was officially confirmed. Ms. Yates openly defied the president and refused to enforce his order. What did she think was going to happen? Did she believe the White House would back down?

Following Ms. Yates’ dismissal, the Trump team chose Dana Boente, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to replace the disgraced former attorney general, who Trump argued had “betrayed” the U.S. government and American people. Boente will serve as attorney general until Sessions is officially confirmed by the Senate, which could take place this week.

“Ms. Yates is an Obama administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration,” the Trump administration declared in a statement released following Ms. Yates’ termination. “It is time to get serious about protecting our country.”

The hysteria and mindless fury generated as a result of Trump’s executive order demonstrates once again the extreme hostility the mass media and political establishment have toward the Trump administration and its America first mindset. Trump’s executive order is essentially following a proposal originally put forth and implemented by the Obama administration, which did not generate nearly as much controversy as Trump has with his recent order.

“My policy is similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months,” Trump said in an official White House statement. “The seven countries named in the executive order are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror.”

Trump went on to emphasize that his order is “not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting.”

“This is not about religion. This is about terror and keeping our country safe,” Trump stated. “There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order. We will again be issuing visas to all countries once we are sure we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies over the next 90 days.”

  • Very well said. I’m tired of hearing how Trump is so racist when all he did was enforce something that Obama could not and would not do.

  • some say this increased restriction on entry lays the groundwork for a total ban on muslims.
    i sure hope so.
the muslims have no intention of assimilating into our culture. they will not obey our laws and after they take over whole sections of your city you, the new minority, will be expected to obey sharia law, in no uncertain terms.
all one has to do is look at what has happened in europe, start with sweden. it is no longer sweden if there are more muslims there than swedes, which is rapidly becoming the case. sweden is a naturally white country and it should stay that way.
no country should allow so much immigration that it changes the nature of its society.
work your way backward through history and find out all the countries the muslims have taken over. they move in and push everybody else out, and it isn’t always nice. some say the biggest genocide in history is the fairly recent one where the muslims moved into india.

in some states now, pennsylvania recently, the motor vehicles departments are getting rid of registration stickers.
    you can guess why.
the cops will have cameras and computers to tell then all about whatever license plate they see. but they’ll have orders not to bother the immigrant community, who aren’t going to bother with paying their fees.
the difference is you the citizen won’t be able to see that millions of immigrants are driving without paying for the registration, much less will they bother with insurance. of course if a real citizen has an expired registration he’ll be prosecuted.
djt – send a division of army to the southern border and slam it shut.
ban all muslims from entering the usa now before it’s too late for us too.

  • The only thing that bothers me, is that Trump is still relying on the same intelligence agencies, that have already been compromised by MOSSAD. Though more promising, I can’t forget Trump’s statement “I’m 1000% behind Israel. I can’t but wonder, if he isn’t setting up as the proverbial lambs to slaughter, still sitting on the fence, a born skeptic to the end- cheers!! The Reich Was Right!!!
